There are easy methods for purifying smaller quantities of water
Boil the water
The easiest way to disinfect water from bacteria is by boiling it. Boil it for one minute at a minimum.
Sunlight
It is possible to purify water with the help of the sun and transparent plastic PET bottles. If the water is cloudy, filter it using a piece of cloth to remove the particles. Clean, transparent PET bottles are filled with water and exposed to sunlight for at least six hours. Carbon
You can purify water by using activated carbon, which is placed in a funnel and the water is filtered through the carbon.
Sand and gravel
You can filter dirt from water by filling a water barrel with sand and gravel. The water should then be boiled to disinfect it from bacteria.
