PT. Atlas Copco Indonesia - Launching of the 1st Water Well

Working together with local NGO Rumah Zakat Fundrising, PT. Atlas Copco Indonesia hopes the program will continue to be  implemented for next “ Water Well “. We expect that the existence of PT Atlas Copco Indonesia may also help mankind and the environment. "Corporate Responsibility is now part of the competitive position of any company in the world economy and social development, and we have an important role together as well as organizations and individuals we represent”, Said Poento Djatmiko, Business Line Manager  on be half PT. Atlas Copco Indonesia  in his speech during the inauguration of the 1st“ Water Well “.

Why Atlas Copco Group is focused on "Water For All " because water is essential for life, but billions of people suffer from limited access to this vital necessity. “ Water for All “  operates with the motto that Clean drinking water is a human right and seeks to raise funds to support projects that provide clean drinking water for people in need
In addition of “Water Well" program, PT. Atlas Copco Indonesia has a scholarship program given to orphaned children. At least 30 children have already received scholarships from this program.
 
“We are very proud for the realization the 1st Water Well and  scholarship program, it may it be a trigger for the next Water Well and scholarship in the future”,  said Poento Djatmiko in his speech.
When Water Well Indonesia is able to join as a member country of the organization International Water for All, all donations will be doubled by Atlas Copco. Since wells are often placed in school yards, the additional contribution will increase the ability of Atlas Copco Indonesia to offer not only clean drinking water but also the possibility (in conjunction with the scholarships) for more children from problem areas to attend school.
