Water for All in USA

The U.S. chapter of Water for all currently has approximately 215 members across Atlas Copco´s Business Units within the U.S. We work closely with two partners to deliver projects; Charity: Water and Seeds of Hope.

A timeline of activity

  • March 2009 – The U.S. chapter of Water for all started and a steering committee was formed.

  • December 2009 – Our activities rose over $40,000 dollars to donate to water projects.

  • January 2010 – We sponsor our first project and partner with Charity Water to build three wells in the Lay Kuba region on Ethopia.

  • April 2010 – We sponsor three more wells through Seeds of Hope and purchase 80 bio sand filters for the regions of Labut, Chiwala, and Nkwazi in Zambia.

  • September 2010 – We launch a video showing details of our first project.

  • January 2011 – We undertake our largest project to date with Charity: Water and fund the complete costs of a water, sanitation and hygiene project at a school in the Tigray region of Ethiopia helping 500+ children.
