In the spring of 2006, Interact partnered with Amity Foundation to start a development project for the villages in the Wuzhai region in Shanxi, China.

Backed by SIDA, the three-year integrated development project aimed to fight poverty in one of China's poorest regions. The project involved drilling wells, artificial irrigation, building one clinic and two veterinary stations, and a loan scheme for the rural population.

Swedish Water for All has contributed to water-related activities. The plan to drill ten wells over a three-year period was successfully completed in 2009.
